A Windswept, Horseriding Bride & A Barter Opportunity; Need I say more!

Major wedding envy alert!!! The scenery, the gorgeous couple, the horses...  This is an actual real wedding, not an editorial, I kid you not!
Andrea and Eoins big day is just so unbelievably stunning that it knocks the socks of all those Pinterest inspiration boards we drool over. Best of all, the bride in question wore a Dirty Fabulous, vintage wedding dress.
Irish beauty, Andrea came to us in search for a gown for her Canadian, destination wedding with the precursory request that she'd need to be able to ride a horse in it. We were happy to oblige and helped Andrea choose a 1950's gown with daisy detailing that we knew would stand up to some strenuous action.

The whole day was shot by amazing photographers Jelger and Tanja. The duo are originally from Belgium but based in Vancouver, Canada.
But what's the barter opportunity mentioned in the title? Well now, Jelger and Tanja are hoping to come to Ireland in April and May and will shoot a whole wedding in exchange for flights from Canada and two nights accommodation.
The wedding can happen any time between April 16th and May 1st. Although they aren't free on the 23rd.

This could be an incredible opportunity for a couple who haven't been able to secure a photographer for their big day or who've had a last minute cancellation.
It could also work out to be a slightly cheaper option and if there's anything we've learned from Pinterest and bridal blogs like One Fab Day, scrimping on wedding photography is a no no!!! Make cuts to anywhere except your photography or videography people!

Jelger and Tania have even aired their barter proposition on radio with Ray Darcy. Hopefully they'll get to visit Ireland! If you want to ask this photography duo a bit more about the barter get in contact with them through their site.

Back to the happy couple!
Congratulations to Andrea and Eoin and thank you for sharing your fabulous wedding with us.

To see the incredible short film of their big day take a peak at the magnificent work done by Story of Eve. Goosebumps are guaranteed!!!

What to wear to a Destination Wedding?

Weddings abroad can be some of the most fun and stylish. From the get go they are often filled with adventure and excitement from the moment you board the plane (usually in the wee hours!). Destination weddings will always stick in your mind as most people combine them with a short holiday leaving a multitude of happy memories!

Luckily, most couples choose warm climates for their foreign weddings, meaning, everyone can enjoy the sun ...yeah!!! This weekend, we at Dirty Fabulous are off to France for 3 days in 30 degree heat. (we'll be open again on Wednesday 26th) Excited? Much!

I find though, one of the trickiest things about attending a wedding abroad is not where to stay but what on earth should you wear? Nobody wants a sticky, soppy guest at their wedding and sweaty boobs are not a good look for anyone!

So with this in mind we've chosen a few inspirational looks from our current vintage collection which are light and airy enough to ensure you remain cool even in the highest temperatures. They'll make you look hot, but only in the right way!!!

Italian Chic!

Naoimh and her new husband recently got married in Italy and I think you'll agree that her Dirty Fabulous vintage Ivory and lace brocade column wedding gown teamed with lace bolero looked stunning on her.
Congratulations to you both from Dirty Fabulous!

Something a little different for an Icelandic wedding!

We've come across many different venues for our brides weddings but this was the first Icelandic wedding!
The bride, Denise, looks amazingly ethereal in her vintage pale lavender chiffon gown with silver beading.
Such a relaxed and romantic feel in an awe inspiring setting.
Congratulations guys!

Something a little different for two Dirty Fabulous brides...

An Evening Affair

Claire wore her Dirty Fabulous 1950s yellow tulle prom, bespoke emerald green hair piece and green beaded bag during her wedding abroad. I absolutely adore the colour combinations. The whole look is super fun!

1940's Sophistication

Elaine was the epitome of vintage elegance on her wedding day with Dirty Fabulous 1940s lace wedding gown and full length veil.
