A Very Jolly Thank You!

Oh my! We did have a lot of fun at our Jolly Hatted Race Night last Thursday evening.
From the unpacking of the delicious hats brought to Dirty Fabulous by Kate Betts and Rebekah Patterson, to drinking bubbly with our lovely customers, it was a super glam, super fun way to spend a Thursday evening!

The hats will remain in store all next week, so if you are planning a trip to the Grand National in April, have a Spring wedding coming up or just fancy treating yourself to an Easter bonnet (I did!!), then call us on
01-6111842 to book an appointment or drop us a line at info@dirtyfabulous.com.

Also, Rebekah Patterson Millinery will now be available in the Loft at Powerscourt Townhouse, and Rebekah herself will be taking appointments every Tuesday.

A huge thank you- thank you to our very talented milliners, the lovely Rosa Ospina who was on hand for hair tutorials and make-up advice, and all of our customers who supported the evening.
We hope you all had as much fun as we did!

The Jolly Hatted Race Night!

Racing season is upon Ladies! Hip hip hurrah! Time to get dressed up, sip champagne and have an all round glamorous time. The most important item for a Fabulous Ladies Day?
Why the hat of course!
So, we decided to make life a little easier, and definitely more fun, by hosting a pop-up millinery extravaganza in Dirty Fabulous with bubbly, hats and general fun and frolics!
The launch night is Thursday the 22nd of March, when we will have the fabulous Rebekah Patterson and Kate Betts in store with their beautiful creations from 4pm-6:30pm. These uber talented milliners will be on hand to advice you on the best hat for your face shape and can create a bespoke piece if you so wish.
Of course Dirty Fabulous will have a selection of
hand-picked retro beauties
for your perusal if it's a more vintage look you're hoping for.
Along with glamorous handmade and vintage hats and headpieces, we are thrilled to invite Orlagh Kilbride to Dirty fabulous for demonstrations of some fab vintage make up looks. If that wasn't enough we have Rosa Ospina to advise you on how best to wear your tresses depending on the style of hat you fancy!

The evening is RSVP, so if you are interested in attending please email us with your preferred time,
4pm, 5pm or 6pm, and we'll get back to you.
Of course you can call us too on 01-6111842 to book your place.

Don't fret if you can't make it in on the night, Rebekah and Kate's beautiful bespoke pieces will be in store for the week running up to the 31st of March. Leaving you plenty of time to organize your headpiece ahead of  the Irish Grand National  on the 9th of April.

Confetti Magazine, Winter 2011

We were thrilled to feature in the Winter Issue of Confetti Magazine. I think you'll agree that the contrast between the beautiful delicate wedding gowns and the wild, rugged landscape makes for a really gorgeous shoot.
I love the styling, in particular the softening of such glamorous gowns with a pretty cardi. It's a lovely way to introduce a spot of colour and it's downright practical too!
Who doesn't love to be comfy-cozy?!
We stock a range of 1950s and 1960s cardigans in a variety of colours, and of course if we don't have what you're looking for we'll do our best to source the shade and style that you fancy.

A big thank you to stylist Roxanne Parker and the lovely lady behind the lense, Agata Stoinska

Fabulous Flora!

Oh it's Spring time and the world is bursting into bloom, doesn't it just make you feel warm and fuzzy?!
With all things floral in mind, we're very excited about
The Informal Florist , who is bringing a new quirky vibe to
weddings and event dressing.
If you fancy a Saturday spent whiffing beautiful blooms then head to Fallon & Byrne, where Clare from The Informal Florist will be showcasing her gorgeous selection of bouquets and arrangements every Saturday in her pop-up shop.

We adore her laid back style and pretty little displays, where prairie flowers are mixed with fresh herbs. Smells divine!
So, if you're scouting for a wedding florist or just love the joy that fresh flowers bring, then pop into Fallon & Byrne every Saturday from the 10th of March and say hi to The Informal Florist herself!
