Real Wedding - 1930's Goddess!

Gosh Darn it... Michelle looks mind-blowingly beautiful in one of our 1930's vintage wedding dresses, I mean come on!!!
Her hair and make-up are pure perfection.
Like many 1930s wedding dresses this one originally had a higher neckline which Michelle had lowered and adapted the sheer lace panel on the back.
This could be my favourite vintage bridal look in quite a while... Thanks for sharing Michelle!

Summer Time Fashion: Vintage-Style

Dressing for hot weather can be tricky. I'm not a huge fan of the maxi dress having over-indulged in them during two pregnancies, I feel it's best we part ways!
I'm also keen to keep my thighs covered so shorts are an absolute no-no. Which is why vintage clothing is a God-send for me. Que chic capri pants, full circle skirts and lightweight cotton florals.
This year I'll be armed and ready for any hot weather and holidays with a mulitude of tea-length dresses and midi-skirts that cover everything I want but are bright and airy... bring on the next heatwave!

For some inspiration have a look at these original vintage images from the 1950's and then some of our summery dresses in currently in stock:

The Heathers

I adore how this shoot by Silke Photography conjures up feelings of wistful romance with it's dreamlike wilderness setting. Model, Violet has a real classic beauty that worked superbly with our vintage wedding dresses and accessories.
I'm a big fan of the blush and baby blue vintage headpiece she's wearing, it's one of my favourites in the shop! You'd also never know that the engagement ring worn in the shoot isn't the real thing. It's a 1920's costume ring but looks so beautiful who cares that they aren't diamonds!
