Real Bride - Ciara in Cool Victoriana in The City!

WOW!!!!!
These photos of our bride Ciara and her hubby Rowen absolutely blew us away!
It was so difficult to choose just a few to post, they were all amazing. Photographer, Caroline of Wild Things Wed has captured this beautiful and stylish pair at some pretty fab locations throughout Dublin. The pop of colour in many (including the brides hair) brings such a sense of fun.
The photography style of Wild Things Wed is right up our street. A little bit edgy, a little bit fun and a whole lot of cool.
Ciara's dress was a vintage, Victoriana style dress from the 1970's. We're absolutely crazy about her cute boots!
Congratulations to Ciara and Rowen on their recent wedding!

Fashion Repeating - Episode 1!

I thought I would do a series of posts about the cyclical nature of fashion and how certain things never go out of style (or if it does, it's not long before it's back!)
Whether its a cut, silhouette, colour combination or overall look, the following have crossed decades and in certain cases, centuries!

For the first post in this series - I'm mad for plaid!!

Tartan Dress 1830

Fred Perlberg 1950

The swinging 60s

1970s

And you really can't mention tartan without a nod to.....
Vivienne Westwood 1980's
(My favourite designer!)

Linda Evangelista in Christian Lacroix 1990

Alexander Mc Queen 2006
(note the bustle silhouette, very similar to the 1880s dress!)

And to finish up...
2012 - Rhianna looking positively demure!

Raid your wardrobes ladies, tartan was all over the Autumn / Winter 2012 Catwalks!

Novembers Tatler

This week I thought I'd put up these beautiful images from the November issue of Tatler. The shoot was styled by Karen Finnie using many of Dirty Fabulous's gorgeous dresses and accessories.
The first image is a 1940's black polka dot tiered tulle dress €220 and a 1950's vintage brooch €65 (worn in hair)
The second image is a 1950's prom dress with ostrich feather plume. €495

The third image features one of our stunning necklaces from Australian designer Ghost & Lola €200

The last image is topped of with one of our devine Victorian capelet's. These are stunning collectible pieces that make any out fit unique. €295

Dress of the Week

This amazing 1950's wiggle dress reminds me so much of Pradas offerings on the catwalk. Its teamed with a stunning victorian ruffle collar and lace Vond'Art neck piece. All available from Dirty Fabulous.
