Adding Unexpected Colour to a Winter Wedding

Having a winter wedding shouldn't mean that you have to stick to the same old colour palette of reds. greens, golds or grey. There's a whole spectrum of colours out there that are just begging to be worn during the winter months. 

We've paired our 1950's ivory embroidered tea length wedding dress with tones of royal blue and we've added flourishes of magenta and oranges with the flowers and make-up.

The overall look feels quite modern and edgy despite being a classic, original vintage dress.

Dark rich colours in peacock shades, metallics, rich yellows and pinks, cool blues and ice whites will all work in cooler months. 

Don't forget that if you are using a very dark palette like aubergine, wine or browns to add a pop of contasting vivid colour to ensure the overall look isn't too sombre. Brightening up your accessories and florals is a great way to do this!

All the Prettiness of Vintage Lace!

Vintage prettiness galore here! Niamh chose a  Dirty Fabulous 1950's lace tea length wedding dress for her big day and to add some extra glamour she teamed it with an ivory beaded comb, bird cage veil and Art Deco style pearl bracelet.

Oooh it's just so girlie and romantic!!!

A sweetheart of a wedding dress!

The lovely Eimear sent us in pic's of her wedding day in which she wore a Dirty Fabulous original vintage 1950's tea length wedding dress.

The sweetheart neckline and full skirt are so gorgeous on this dress and suited Eimear perfectly.

Michelle wore one of our 1950's style tea length wedding dresses for her recent big day.

Her ivory satin and lace dress was complimented perfectly with her vintage hair and make-up, birdcage veil and fab heels!

True Blue!

Oooh I just adore Tasha's retro styling for her recent wedding day. She teemed her gorgeous lace and chiffon 1950's Dirty Fabulous prom with vibrant cobalt blue accessories. 

Her hair and make-up are true 1950's siren and her half veil completes the look perfectly!
