Spotlight on Vintage: Trifari Jewellery

If you collect vintage jewellery then you'll most likely have heard of the label Trifari. It's one of the most coveted designers of costume jewellery available.

Trifari was established in 1910 and after several reicarnations it's popularity really exploded in the 1930's after Alfred Phillipe was appointed as the head designer.

He had designed for many fine jewellery houses such as Cartier and Van Cleef and Arpels and he brought his knowledge and craftmanship to the world of costume jewellery.
Trifari's diamante and rhinestone jewellery was hugely desired because of it's resemblance to diamonds and fine jewels.

You can see some of the stunning examples of Trifari's jewels in the 1940's and 50's adverts below. Even the colour tones of these advertisements ooze a refined sophistication!

We currently have these impossibly elegant 1960's Trifari earrings in stock. They really would go with anything!

Wedding Season Approaching!

We've had lots of customers in already who are getting organised for upcoming weddings!

They agree that investing in a Dirty Fabulous vintage dress will ensure that they can happily go to these events safe in the knowledge that no one will be wearing the same dress as them!

Having lots of weddings to go to can be hard on the pocket so it's important to get the right dress.
Luckily if you go with a vintage dress the style is timeless so you can pull it out year after year and change the look of it completely with the right accessories! To make it easier on the pocket we are delighted to take deposits on that dress that you simply must have!

Here are a few more of our unique vintage dresses...

I love this 1950's pink velvet and satin bubble dress, it is so girlie and simply inspires Happiness! Add a narrow black patent belt and heels to funk it up or stick to white for an uber feminine outfit. €310

This nude lace 1950's wiggle dress is so chic and utterly timeless. The olive satin waist band gives a lovely nipped in feature. Team it with a pair of neutral maty janes for a demure look or with red patent stacked heels for a more head turning appearence! €320

Wow! What a saucy little black party dress! The ruching is so flattering to the figure whilst the diamante trim adds the much loved bit of bling. Definitely a show stopper! €180

Lastly is another 1950's wiggle dress. We tend to look out for this shape as it accentuates the figure in all the right ways and suits most ladies regardless of size. This dress has a gorgeous olive and pink floral print with beautiful darting at the bust. It is very wearable day or night and can easily be dressed up or down! €260
