A Wedding Dreams Are Made Of...

The title isn't something I say lightly, nor is it a throwaway comment based on some pretty pictures. Dirty Fabulous had the immense pleasure of attending Charlotte and Peter's wedding at L'Abbaye-Chateau de Camon in France and we can categorically say it was beyond wonderful!
Destination weddings can be exceedingly hard work to pull off; some guests mightn't be happy with the extra travel and expense but when they are done right boy are they worth it!

Charlotte and Peter chose L'Abbaye-Chateau de Camon as the location for their wedding after some extensive research. I couldn't imagine a more perfect setting. It was located near to Mirepoix, an easy area to get to after flying into Carcassone.

How dapper do the men in the bridal party look! They got their suits made by a tailor from Co. Monaghan.

Charlotte had some very specific wants for her wedding dress so Dirty Fabulous took it upon ourselves to find her the dress of her dreams.  We knew this champagne silk and lace gown had Charlottes name all over it and I think we can all agree she looked astounding! The epitome of 1930's old Hollywood glamour.

Myself and Caroline in our vintage dresses and big sunnies (ooh fabulous French weather!)

Charlotte's sister was her bridesmaid on the day she wore a stunning sage green silk 1950's dress from Dirty Fabulous. The subtle tones are so romantic and feminine.

Don't you just adore the photography! Martin from The Picture Rooms came to France to capture this magical event and the evidence is in the variety of beautiful pictures. I really wish my wedding photos were this good!

In the end we danced the night away and came back the next day for games on the lawn and brunch. We had the most magnificent time and we are so grateful that Dirty Fabulous was a part of Charlotte and Peter's enchanting wedding in France.

Our Bride Charlotte - Irish Tatler Best Dressed Finalist!

Can you imagine our excitement when we found out that our great friend and Dirty Fabulous bride, Charlotte was a finalist in Tatler's best dressed brides.
She knew she wanted a bridal look that was sophisticated and which echoed the vintage elegance of the 1930's. Charlotte also knew she wanted a dress with a dramatic back and luscious sweeping gown.

With this in mind we sourced the silk bias cut, vintage wedding gown with sheer lace back specifically for Charlotte, so it was amazing to see her wear it on the big day.
Her birdcage veil and headpiece were made by us to complete the look and we added the vintage fan so she could keep cool in the heat of a French summer!

We're proud as punch that our gorgeous gal's bridal look was so loved by others!

Time for something special on this bright but chilly Thursday!
We recently collaborated with photographer extraordinaire David Frain and vintage hair and make-up masters Locks and Lashes.
The shoot took place on a freezing but thankfully sunny winter morning through in city centre locations in Dublin.
I think you'll agree that the results are stunning!
The shoot highlights the many different styles achievable with a vintage wedding dress.
Not only is the wedding dress important but so too are the  perfectly chosen accessories.
We are eagerly awaiting a delivery of our new vintage collection which will soon be flying transatlantic, demand will be high to see these dresses so make sure you call 01 6111842 or email info@dirtyfabulous.com now for your appointment.

We had a lot of fun on the shoot and make sure you check out our friends sites.
David is the perfect photographer to work with couples on their big day.
Locks and Lashes offer beautiful vintage hair and make-up for any special occasion.
The clothing worn by our male model was provided by the ever helpful guys at Tango's Dress Hire
