I WANNA BE AT THIS PARTY!!!

We're swooning over these photos, the colours are so rich and beautiful. Our original vintage green and pink dresses really pop!
The shoot by Carrot Inc. for Bellinter House highlights what a fab party venue it makes. It's grown up, laid back glamour at it's absolute best.
I really need to start thinking about my next milestone birthday...

Our gorgeous bride Mags, wore a 1960's ivory, knee length dress with balloon sleeves and high neck for her recent wedding. She paired it with one of our veiled, vintage hats and we're swooning over her Audrey Hepburn style!

Off To The Races

Whether you're in the midst of race season or already planning for ladies day next year, take a little time to soak up these inspiring vintage images.
One of the things we adore about vintage fashion photographs is how complete every outfit was; from the make-up, headpieces, gloves and hat, each was an important element.
Every accessory was coordinated  and no detail overlooked. A flawless finish was de rigueur.
Vintage fashion is a fabulous place to start to searching out interesting style ideas that you know are going to be classic, playful and oh so chic!
Probably the most important aspect of any Race Look is the hat. It's the ultimate accessory and so important that sometimes people start with the hat and then match the dress! We have an incredible and extensive collection of vintage hats from the 1930's to 60's in stock.  Just take a peak at a few of them further down and some example of how they could be styled with our vintage dresses.

Happy St Patrick's Day - we're proud to be Irish!

It's time to pull out ALL the green from your wardrobe!
St. Patrick's Day is a time for family fun, maybe a parade in the pouring rain, a hot whiskey and all the green, white and gold you can imagine!
Whether you spend the day in hiding or go the whole hog we have a long weekend to think about, and cherish our Irishness. We love our little country and the people in it so we'll be kicking up our heels with the kids and most likely dressing like an Irish flag!
Maybe we'll take some inspiration from these glamorous ladies of the 40's and 50's , or maybe we'll look like bedazzled shamrocks...you'll have to wait and see!!!

Real Bride Ita - Something Old, Something Blue.

How chic does our bride Ita, look in her 1960's, ivory silk suit from Saks Fifth Avenue. The jacket was adorned with beautiful turquoise cabochon and crystal buttons. We paired it with a 1950's, turquoise, velvet headband with veil for a fabulously unique bridal look.
We think she looks adorable and the soft tones were captured wonderfully by Wim from In Love Photography

Red and Pink - Switch It Up You Big Romantic and Wear These Colours Together!

We'll be colour blocking our way into this week! Whether you celebrate Valentines or ignore completely, there's nothing wrong with taking a little timeout to show your love and maybe spend some quality time with your nearest and dearest.
Personally I'll do something nice with my kids on Valentines and hopefully squeeze in a date-night with the hubby at some stage during the next week or two. It won't be much different to any other week but love is important, essential in fact, so why not spend a little time being grateful for the family, friends and partners that are part of your life.
Just for the heck of it I'll be wearing lots of pink and red!
Below are some original vintage images and then vintage dresses from Dirty Fabulous in an array of fabulous pink and red tones to inspire!
Have a wonderful week and remember "you are loved!".
