Oh Gatsby!

Can't you just imagine the lovely Chloe as a guest at one of Jay Gatsby's wild and legendary parties! Wandering around the grounds of the manor in the early hours of the morning as she ponders on a romantic encounter from earlier that night. Her gorgeous vintage gowns are full of 1920's glamour and decadence.  What a talented team behind this evocative shoot!

1960's Flashback...it's all about the hair!

We adore the drama of the 1960's beehive hair-dos and strong make-up in this shoot.
I think they work beautifully with our 1960s wedding dresses and jewellery.
The shoot was the brainchild of Veronika Byrne a fab hairdresser based in Co. Monaghan with a love of retro hairstyles.

Faded Grandeur

We're so lucky in Dirty Fabulous to regularly get to work with fantastically creative and like minded people. The team involved with the shoot below are no different! Claire from Studio Brown Photography contacted us in the search for vintage dresses that had a soft and romantic feel and would be in keeping with the Georgian splendour of 12 Henrietta Street. I think you'll agree the results were sublime...

In celebration of all things horsey!

I love the atmosphere evoked by these glamorous shots styled by Evie B Styling.
It's the perfect time for sharing them what with the Dublin Horse Show in full swing!
The model is wearing a black heavily sequinned 1930's skirt from Dirty Fabulous which actually has a gorgeous matching jacket with little cream button cuffs.
It's one of my favourite pieces in the shop!

All Aspects of Aspect Photography

As we here in Dirty Fabulous Towers wait with bated breath for the official photographer images from Caroline and Peter's extraordinary nuptials, I thought I'd do a little spotlight post on the work of the very lovely, and incredibly talented, Mr. Shane O'Neill from Aspect Photography .

I was first introduced to Shane at, my very close friends, Dom & Katie's wedding two years ago. He was an absolute pleasure to have around on the day, and slipped in seamlessly to the hectic excitement that exists on the morning of a wedding and throughout the day. When I saw the images from the day, I, along with everyone else, was blown away. His attention to detail, composition and artistic flair are breathtaking.

When I joined the Dirty Fabulous team I came to know Shane's editorial work, as he collaborated on various shoots featuring our vintage pieces.
Pearl, Sarah and Shane share a unique approach and their collaborations just make me swoon!

 A small selection from the Porcelain Tale shoot;

Cast your eye over these eerie old school polaroids

A sweet Dirty Fabulous cardi!

And this one from a gorgeous alternative wedding

Shane has won many awards in recent months. The list is too long to include in this post, but please take a look  >here< to see some of his exceptional shots that have helped him become the second highest ranking photographer with the Artistic Guild of the WPJA

If you're looking for a photographer for your special day, or perhaps for commercial or personal portraits,  then I can't recommend Aspect Photography highly enough. Just read some of the lovely things his previous clients have said.
I could go on and on and keep adding more wonderful  images but I'll restrain myself, that is until we get the photos from the Dirty Fabulous wedding of the year! Then expect an equally lengthy post on all things wonderful, artistic and creative!
Do click through to the Aspect Photography Blog and take a look through Shane's ever-growing body of work.

Just two more of my favourites! I can't resist...
It's the light, the colour and the little moments captured, just gorgeous.

Luxurious Ladies Who Lunch

Last week I posted two pictures from this decant
'Let Them Eat Cake' shoot, styled by Cat Lawlor from
 The Cake Cuppery.
We love how glamorous the girls look in our original 50s dresses and bespoke headpieces.
The palatial surroundings of Marlfield House seem to capture this Marie Antoinette themed shoot to perfection.
With cakes almost too good looking to eat, ethereal make up and luscious locks, this is a  tea party we here at Dirty Fabulous would like to be at.

Have a look below at all of the people involved in bringing this 18th Century delight to life.
