Break Out The Brocade!

An explosion of colour at Winter should be an essential fashion trend every year. I mean how can wearing only black and grey in the darker months bring a smile to our faces?
Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of dark colours, I wear them right through the year but here at Dirty Fabulous HQ we also wear bold colours the year round, maybe even more so during the Winter months.
I'm sure (not sure) it's been proven somewhere that bright colours makes you happy! At the very least you should give it a try and see for yourself.
The Fall/Winter 2017 runways were jammed packed with daring prints and glossy, rich tones. Gucci and Erdem in particular knocked it out of the park!
These bold brocades and embroidered fabrics are nothing new. They were huge in the 50's and 60's and were often worn to the most fanciest of occasions, they aren't just for soft furnishings you know!

Florals, Pastels and Bonnets -Spring Time Perfection!

If there's one thing that vintage fashion is good at (well, there's actually a million things!) it's feminine prints and pastel colours.

Delicate shades were very popular in the 40's, 50's, and 60's which make dresses from these eras ideal for your Spring wardrobe!

We love this time of year, it makes us feel all fresh and energised. It's the positive feel-good vibes you get when you know that warmer weather and sunshine is on it's way. There's no better time to shake of the black and navy tones of winter and break into a rainbow of colour!!!
