The catwalk was awash with 30's style velvet gowns, 40's inspired tailored suits and 80's Avant Garde structures from striking shoulders to lame bows!
If the price tag of modern designers seems untouchable, vintage couture tailoring offers an affordable alternative without scrimping on the quality, just take a peak...

DiorJ'adore Dior!!! This had to be my favourite collection this season. It was oozing with jewel colours, delicate chiffon's and the most amazing china doll make up.
Here at Dirty Fabulous we always look out for vintage fabrics in rich colours so in keeping with this seasons trends expect to see lots of raspberry, teals and cobalt's in dresses from the 50's and 60's.

Emanuel UngaroThe 80's were every where in this seasons shows. We're not the biggest fan of that decade (living through it once was enough!) but we do love some of the big shapes and striking features. The 80's is not for the faint hearted but for a party dress with impact it's hard to beat!

Here we see the return of velvet and chic tailoring. For similar vintage looks go for sublimely cut suits from the 40's and 50's.

Dirty Fabulous VintageWoweee you just have to love a statement coat! As the evenings unfortunately get a little shorter and cooler it may be time to think about investing in a fabulous yet snuggly coat.
We've had so many requests lately that we will definitely be stocking up in some show stopping coats to enable our customers to look uber glamorous when battling the elements.

It is great to see how vintage is incorporated into modern fashion!
It looks like after all the rebellion we go back to our roots and repeat all the trends of our parents, grandparents!
